Look, it is all about creating a good character. Since the time of the Sheik, Ultimate Warrior, and the rest, the wrestlers were all bland and useless. The Sheik was so good, I prefer watching his promos to watching him in the ring.

Vince didn't fail with The Great Khali. Great Khali became really popular and became a world champion. He was also in top 100 wrestlers of PWI. He also became a WWE legend in India as the first Indian WWE world champion and was in a lot of movies.

Vince McMahon doesn't seem to be near as smart as people give him credit for. He got very lucky with a few of his ideas, but he seems to have way more bad ideas then good ones overall.
Most great inventors have 1, 2 or 3 (if lucky) inventions in their lifetimes and hundreds of failures. Artists/Painters scrap a ton more pieces of art than they put out...its not abnormal. Vince is a genius whether you want to admit it or not.

@mainman465 The same thing can be said for firefighters and police officers... two professions that I have the most profound admiration and respect for. That doesnt make what they do any less dangerous or risky. Perhaps you remember the late Owen Hart who died while performing a stunt back in 1999. He was only 33 years old and other wrestlers have died before reaching forty. Fake or not, the point is wrestlers put their bodies on the line to entertain millions of people around the world who pay to be entertained. They deserve some respect.
