Maybe instead of "lie," you should have used "gave a slightly different impression."

The Clerks poster has always bothered me. It's just so out of character. It actually reminds me of that one promo shot from Pulp Fiction where Sam Jackson isn't wearing his wig but everyone else is in character.

I'm sure the eye that rockit, gifts thor is one he took in the first Guardians movie as well. Well he gets Quill to take someones leg, then he implies he needs someones eye later, but doesn't actually take it. So I guess it's not a direct link, but this is probably how rockit acquired the eye.

That's not Silent Bob on the poster for Clerks, that's Kevin Smith, who, at the time of making this film, was a Clerk

I think they put angel and cyclops in the uniforms in the poster as a nod to the og comics from the 60's. This was supposedly the last x-men movie so might as well give homage to its roots

The Frozen poster is everything that is wrong with kids/family movies now. There always has to be a quirky, overly-cute sidekick that serves no other purpose than plastering on all the marketing materials and selling toys. They design them to pander to young kids who don't know any better, delivering stupid catchphrases and fart jokes so even though the kids have no idea what the rest of the movie is about, they can endlessly quote them and lose their minds every time they pass gigantic, inescapable in-store displays. They just want to watch "Olaf" (what they think Frozen is called) while they carry around their stuffed Olaf in their Olaf backpack while wearing their Olaf PJs after they've just finished their Olaf popsicle (all real things) before they dress up as Olaf for Halloween while Disney/Dreamworks/Illumination count their parents' money.

Slightly disappointing in a way, but then I guess it's cool that Hollywood sells its stories regardless of the limitations of any individual contributor to the film. I remain convinced that the gorgeous but not dramatically curvy Jessica Alba was digitally curved up in the first Fantastic Four movie, in some gratuitous (but appreciated) sweeps across her hips. Ditto a younger Chris Evans (re: his shoulders mostly), who was already pretty buff, but I recall thinking it odd that his buffness seemed to vary shot-to-shot more than what you see in gyms.
